The Hollywood Reporter describes international best-selling author Marne Davis Kellogg's books as filled with an ". . . addictive la dolce vita buzz." Known for her sharp wit and wry social commentary, FRIENDS IN HIGH PLACES, her tenth novel and the fourth in the Kick Keswick series, reflects years of study and observation.

In addition to her regular writing schedule, Marne serves as Executive Vice President of The Kellogg Organization, Inc., founded in 1981 with her husband, Peter M. Kellogg, President and CEO. The company is a leading national and international fund-raising counseling firm that specializes in major capital and endowment campaigns for non-profit organizations, and has offices in Denver, San Francisco, and Norfolk, Virginia. Clientele include performing arts centers and organizations, colleges and universities, museums, and international environmental and ecological institutions—University of Virginia, African Wildlife Foundation, The Mariners' Museum USS Monitor Center, Santa Barbara Bowl Foundation, Denver Rescue Mission, Viet Nam Children's Fund and St. Martin-in-the-Fields, London, among hundreds of others over the last 28 years.
Marne and Peter, in Istanbul, in front of the Haggia Sophia, built by Emperor Justinian in 400 as a basilica and converted to a mosque in 1400 when the Ottomans took over. Ataturk turned it into a museum in the late 1940s, or so.

Marne studied fiction-writing in the Advanced Graduate Fiction Workshop at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia in 1990. Four years later, she was offered a two-book contract for the first two volumes in the Lilly Bennett mystery series, BAD MANNERS, published in 1996, and CURTSEY, published a year later. Of that five-book series, Bill Ruehlmann, of the Virginian Pilot-Ledger Star said, "Pass the canapés, please. Kellogg's madcap murder cases are delightful, laugh-wrapped throwbacks to the '30s and '40s when screwball mysteries were unabashed amusements in the hands of master entertainers."

A native of Denver, Colorado, Marne was educated in Denver, Paris, and Rome. Prior to becoming Executive Vice President of The Kellogg Organization, Inc. in 1981, she began her career in 1966 as a Military Airlift Command flight attendant, serving on troop transports to Vietnam. She subsequently worked as an interpreter at King Resources International; a Regional Sales Manager for Frontier Airlines; the Director of Communications for the Denver Center for the Performing Arts; and the Assistant Rocky Mountain Bureau Chief for People/Time, Inc. magazine.

Marne is Chairman of the Advisory Committee for the National Western Stockshow Citizen of the West Award Dinner; and a member of the Mystery Writers of America.

Peter has two sons, who are Marne's beloved step-sons: Lt. Col. Hunter R. Kellogg, USMC, a Marine FA-18-D Hornet fighter pilot, currently assigned to NATO and homeported in Naples, Italy, his amazing wife Courtney and their children, Duncan and Delaney. Peter M. Kellogg II is a financial analyst with Sony Pictures. He and his wife, Bede, a development executive, live in Los Angeles.

Marne and Peter live in Denver and on their Colorado ranch.
